Another one in the series of illustrations for Yoga Earth food products. Beautiful and kinda creepy, that Maca root.

Mr. Potato Head, Part 2
I like drawing the backs of things, the parts of products that aren’t meant to be seen on a regular basis. I did this drawing a few weeks ago, and now I can’t remember what body part or accessory it actually is!

Self Portrait
I used to do self portraits all the time…haven’t done one in a while and what I notice most is that my skin has changed. More wrinkles, more folds. In my 30′s I still looked like I was in my twenties. I think I’m catching up with myself and starting to look my age. Yikes.

How I Spent My Summer Vacation Pt. 1
When I went back to West Virginia for a week over the Labor Day holiday I didn’t bring my computer, and I didn’t do ANY work. It was nice. I actually drew for my own amusement and I had a great time doing it. This week I’ll be posting some of the things I drew. This is the woodpile out near the tree line and the fancy new play structure Grandpa Francis built for Milo.

Milo asleep in his stroller
From our recent trip to Brooklyn. Just like old times, I took him for a walk along Ocean Parkway and the steady rush of cars put him right to sleep. He napped in the front yard while I sat on the stoop and sketched. It was a nice afternoon.

Milo watching TV
Now that Milo is addicted to Dan Zanes & Fred Garbo DVD’s, it’s much easier to draw him. He actually sits still for extended periods! On mornings that Julie needs to sleep in, Milo and I eat poached eggs and watch DVD’s.Note the vacant stare. Also note the slumping posture, clearly inherited from his dad. Sorry, kid.

Remembering Summer
Now that the cold and grey of November has arrived, I find myself remembering summer, and my stinky sandals. I just found this sketch I did back in August:

Collaborations With Milo, Part 1
Over the past week, while hanging out with Milo, I did some sketches. Milo decided to pitch in, and this week I’ll be showing the results. Here’s the first one:
