I’ve got a sore throat, i threw out my back yesterday, the world is hovering just above the shitter, I’m broke and feelin’ mighty old…but I’m thankful for my home and my family. Everybody, hug and kiss those you love.

Oy. What a disaster this past weekend was. Julie’s cousin Mike got married out in the megaburbs of DC. Our first attempt at a road trip with Milo went wrong at every turn. Seems that Milo really does NOT enjoy long car rides. We had to stop nearly every hour either to feed him or just to try and soothe him. This drawing was done out of boredom and desperation in a Maryland parking lot while Julie was breastfeeding:

  We didn’t get to our destination until 11PM, far to late to make the rehearsal dinner, and the next day Milo was still an unhappy traveller; so much so that we missed the wedding ceremony. We managed to drag ourselves to the reception for about an hour then back to the hotel to pass out. Sunday we waited until Milo went to sleep in the evening to drive home. We arrived in Brooklyn at 1:30AM. Whew. No more road trips til next summer!!!
