Adventures in Character Design
I’ve been a production designer for animated cartoons off and on for over 15 years. I have been primarily a background designer (Codename: Kids Next Door, Pepper Ann, Stroker & Hoop, Robotomy, etc…). It’s been a very long time since I designed characters, but recently I had the opportunity to try my hand at it for a project in the early stages of development. Improvisation No. 1, a collaborative animation
I am in the primitive stages of learning After Effects. Julie suggested that a good way to dive in would be to take one of our collaborative drawings and make it move, so that’s what I did. Here is the first in what will hopefully be a series of one-minute improvs.
