It’s one of those perfect early fall days. Crisp warm rectangles of sunlight are creeping over our dusty lumpy red couches. I finished a new drawing that’s been in the works for a couple weeks. Don’t have a title yet, but I’m open to suggestions: 

My goal is to post one thing, a drawing, a painting, a song, a photograph, something…every day. Today I have chosen a recent drawing from a series I call Groovy Decay (after the Robyn Hitchcock album). These are images of death and rebirth, and speculations on what might evolve after we’re gone.

At the tender age of almost 42, i enter the world of blogging. At this point in my life I am trying to define for myself what role art and creativity play in my life and to rediscover the joy of making images and music, while simultaneously raising a baby boy and trying to pay the bills. I intend to chart this process here on my blog. Witness the gory details.
