New garbage bag painting: Waste of Time XVI
This is an original oil painting, number 15 in a series of works that depict and document my household waste. It is both a way of acknowledging my culpability in the destruction of our environment, and a symbolic act of recycling. And, should you win the auction, it would look lovely on your wall.

As promised/threatened…Waste of Time oil paintings.
This is an original oil painting, number 14 in a series of works that depict and document my household waste. It is both a way of acknowledging my contribution to the destruction of our environment, and a symbolic act of recycling. I will document as much of my trash in this manner as I possibly can and auction them on eBay.
All the paintings in this series are 8″x10″ unless noted otherwise. Each one is on stretched gessoed canvas, and finished with a durable, archival varnish.

Waste of Time XI
A garbage can in the playground on 67th & 1st, near Sloan Kettering. I was sitting on a bench as Milo slept in his stroller and Julie was at the hospital visiting our friend Wynne who is dying of cancer. It was a perfect spring day, frolicking nanny-nurtured children everywhere, meanwhile in the surrounding medical buildings, all sorts of disease and despair. Somehow this grim, stinky garbage can, surrounded by pampered, carefree offspring of the Manhattan elite symbolized the same dynamic, but in reverse.
