WHATZIT Characters

A first (or second) go at the main characters. I’m guessing there will be some changes but it’s a start…I showed some samples around at MOCCA fest over the weekend and got both encouragement and a few good doses of critique. Much work to do!

Adventures in Character Design

I’ve been a production designer for animated cartoons off and on for over 15 years. I have been primarily a background designer (Codename: Kids Next Door, Pepper Ann, Stroker & Hoop, Robotomy, etc…). It’s been a very long time since I designed characters, but recently I had the opportunity to try my hand at it for a project in the early stages of development.  This week I’ll be posting some of the images from the project, starting with a few of the characters:
